Data You Give Us Directly
You may send an email or other message with a name, address, question, or correction request. We use that material to answer the message, route a custodian question, or improve a local reference. Do not send Social Security numbers, full account credentials, medical details, or a protected address unless an official office specifically requires it through its own secure process.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most hosted pages, the server or linked services may receive ordinary technical data such as an IP address, browser type, device details, referring page, time, and requested URL. Search widgets may have their own logs and policies. Galt Residents Directory does not use those technical traces to create a government-style resident roll.
What We Do With This Data
Contact information is used for the message that supplied it, site maintenance, security, and limited aggregate review. It is not sold by this reference as a resident list. Public records linked from the pages remain under the control of the office, court, library, archive, or other custodian that holds them.
Links to Other Websites
Pages link to Galt City Hall, Sacramento County, Sacramento Superior Court, California agencies, libraries, archives, FamilySearch, and sponsored search tools. Those destinations set their own cookies, terms, retention, fees, and privacy practices. Review the destination's policy before entering information there. A link does not mean that Galt Residents Directory controls the destination.
Who Might See Your Data
Messages may be visible to the private operators and service providers needed to host, secure, or answer the reference. A disclosure may also be required by law or needed to address fraud, abuse, or a security event. We do not promise that a third-party tool linked from the pages follows this policy.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical steps are used for the small amount of information received, but no internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed. Send only what is needed. For a certified copy, voter file, vital record, deed image, or protected record, contact the official custodian through its published process instead of sending sensitive material to this reference.
Users Under 18
The pages are not directed to children under 13, and no child should submit personal information. If a parent or guardian believes a child sent data, contact us so the operators can search the available mailbox and logs and remove information that can be identified.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, correct, delete, or limit the personal data a covered business keeps. California's Consumer Privacy Act is in Civil Code section 1798.100 and following. The California Delete Act, Senate Bill 362, created the DROP request path for registered data brokers; the Attorney General's 2026 notice says consumers can use the single request and brokers begin required deletion August 1, 2026. Those rights address covered business copies, not a true deed, docket, assessment roll, or other public record held by a custodian.
Because this reference keeps very little, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and relevant server records. Use the Contact page. Requests to remove or correct public records in Galt, Sacramento County, or California go to the office that holds the source.
